Volunteer Opportunity

Patient representative for the Community Audiology service, to attend:

-         Introductory briefing

-         2-3 working group meetings from mid-July

Central London, West London, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow, and Ealing CCGs are responsible for the planning, buying and monitoring of health care services in the borough. We contract providers to offer health services to local people. 

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, approachable and reliable volunteers with experience of using of using the Audiology service to support with reviewing and designing the goals and measurements for the new Audiology service.

What will the volunteer role involve?

  • Option to attend a training and briefing session
  • Review current Audiology service details with particular focus on goals and measurements, and help make changes for improvement
  • Attend 2-3 working group meetings at 15 Marylebone Road from mid-July

What are we looking for?

  • Experience as a patient or carer of the Community Audiology service
  • A willingness to contribute to discussions
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Support for the work of the CCG and a positive attitude
  • An awareness of your own health and safety and that of others
  • Respect for others, treating people equally
