You will have all seen the news that Dr Alfa Saadu has sadly passed away from coronavirus infection.
Alfa worked in the NHS for nearly 40 years and had a longstanding career here in North West London, as Medical Director at Ealing Hospital and later Deputy Medical Director at the London North West University NHS Trust.
Alfa was a member of the North West London Clinical Board and will be remembered for his thoughtful and robust contributions which were always focussed on the care of our patients.
Doctor Mohini Parmar, Chair of NHS Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group and North West London STP Clinical Lead said: “I remember Alfa for his willing smile, empathy, gentle listening style and the respect with which he treated his colleagues whilst he led the clinical leadership in Ealing and across North West London. My sincere condolences to his family.”
Dr Mark Spencer, who worked with Dr Saadu as Medical Director for North West London said: “Mostly I remember and respect Alfa’s dedication to patients and his gentle character as he led the clinical leadership at Ealing and wider through change. My thoughts are with his family.”
