How can you get involved?

Patient Reference Group (PRG), Out of Hospital, Single Contract programme

Ealing CCG (Patient Reference Group) was established in September 2017. The membership consists of patient representatives, Healthwatch Ealing, The Alzheimer’s Society, patients with LD disabilities, Ealing CVS.

The group was the main patient group during the run up to the Out of Hospital, Single Contract procurement for the Community Health Services in Ealing.

A procurement training session has been organised in March 2018 for PRG members, so that they can learn more about  procurement processes. They provided their feedback related to the service specification, Equality Impact Assessment and other relevant documents and proposals.

Following the procurement process, the first meeting of wider PRG was held on 11 January 2019 with 30 members of the public, patients and community organisations in attendance.

This meeting was organised jointly between Ealing CCG and West London NHS Trust, a new service provider. The feedback from the session was positive and members will be invited again to participate in the mobilisation phase of the programme. At this meeting they discussed a new name of the service, and also what worked well and what could be improved in future regarding community health services.

Future engagement activities of this group will be led by West London NHS Trust but Ealing CCG will continue to be actively involved.
